THE TERMS OF THE NIGHT

Terms of Service

Effective October 25, 2026 · Version 2026-10-25

JukeGroove does not supply, license, sell, or stream a music collection. Hosts provide their own recordings and are responsible for the rights and permissions their use requires. Buying or downloading a song does not by itself grant permission for public performance.

1. Your agreement and account

By creating an account or using JukeGroove, you agree to these terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you use the service for a business or organization, you represent that you can bind that organization. Account holders must be at least 18 or the age of majority where they live. Guests must follow their event's age and participation rules; this service is not directed to children under 13.

Provide accurate account information, verify your email when required, protect your password, and use only accounts you are authorized to access. You are responsible for activity under your account, except where applicable law says otherwise. Tell us promptly through our contact form if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not share an account to evade plan or security restrictions.

2. The service and your devices

The host app plays compatible, unprotected audio files supplied by the host and can receive song requests over an internet connection. The website and Requests app share catalog information, event details, and requests. They do not deliver the host's audio to guest devices.

Imported recordings, DJ drops, and local playback settings stay on the host device unless the host separately copies them. JukeGroove account synchronization is not a cloud backup or transfer of recordings. You must maintain your own backups and import your own files on each device where you want playback. Signing in on another device does not download music from a previous device.

Hosts are responsible for appropriate speakers, power, internet, device storage, compatible files, and a sound check before an event. Device locks, phone calls, operating-system restrictions, network outages, app termination, damaged recordings, or output-device changes may interrupt playback or delay requests. JukeGroove is not a safety or emergency communication service.

3. Music, images, and other content you supply

You retain the rights you have in your content. You represent that you have permission to possess and use imported music and DJ drops, display your business or event images, and submit event and catalog information. You must obtain any licenses, public-performance permissions, venue permissions, or other clearances required for the particular event and jurisdiction.

Do not import or use stolen recordings, bypass digital rights management, redistribute recordings without permission, or use the service to facilitate infringement. A personal music purchase or streaming subscription may have restrictions on commercial use and public performance. JukeGroove does not determine or guarantee your licensing compliance.

You grant JukeGroove a limited, nonexclusive permission to store, process, and display the metadata, event branding, and messages you submit only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. This does not grant JukeGroove rights to your locally stored audio. Do not submit personal information about guests that is unnecessary for the event.

4. Hosts and event guests

The host controls event branding, available music, opening and closing requests, and actual playback. A request is a suggestion, not a purchase or a guarantee that a song will play. The service may order requests using arrival time, distinct requester support, repeat-song holds, and host settings. Requests can be declined, delayed, removed, or unavailable.

Anyone with an active event link or QR code may be able to browse its catalog, see event details and requests, and submit requests. Share event links appropriately. Browser identities and rate limits deter casual abuse but do not prove each requester is a unique person. Hosts should close an event when it ends and should not publish private event links to unintended audiences.

A guest's search that finds no available song may be added automatically to the host's private To Get list. It is not an order, payment, promise to acquire music, or request queued for playback. JukeGroove does not automatically buy or download songs based on guest requests.

5. Acceptable use and security

Do not harass or threaten people; upload illegal, abusive, or infringing images; impersonate another person or business; send malicious code; try to access another account or private event; scrape or resell private information; overload the service; automate fake requests; evade request limits; or interfere with playback or security. Do not use the service for deceptive promotions, illegal activity, or purposes that create unreasonable harm to others.

We may apply technical limits, remove harmful content, close events, restrict features, or suspend accounts to enforce these terms, address security issues, comply with law, or protect other users. When practical, we will provide notice and a way to contact us. We may act immediately when necessary to contain abuse or risk.

6. Trials, memberships, and billing

Creating an account is free. Eligible verified host accounts may receive a 14-day trial, beginning when their email is verified. The planned host membership is $19 USD per month. Paid checkout is not available until billing setup is complete. A card-free trial does not authorize automatic charges, and we will not charge you merely because it ends. Local recordings remain on your device if a trial or membership ends, although hosted event features may become unavailable.

Before any paid purchase, checkout will identify the price, billing interval, taxes if applicable, renewal rules, cancellation method, and any applicable refund policy. Your acceptance of a future paid subscription must occur through that checkout. If automatic renewal is offered and you authorize it, renewal continues until you cancel as described at purchase. You may cancel future renewal through the applicable billing provider or app store. Canceling does not necessarily erase an unpaid amount already due.

App-store purchases, if offered, are also subject to that store's billing and refund procedures. Mandatory consumer rights always apply. No current statement in these terms authorizes an undisclosed charge or removes a legally required refund. We will disclose material price or plan changes before they take effect where required. Complimentary access or promo benefits may have conditions disclosed when granted and do not establish a right to permanent free access unless expressly stated.

7. Privacy, support, and complaints

Our Privacy Policy explains the account, event, request, and device information we process. Support messages are stored privately for review. We do not guarantee an immediate response or a particular support resolution.

For a music-rights or copyright concern, use the contact form and identify the protected work, the relevant event or page, your relationship to the rights holder, and a way to contact you. We may request additional information and may restrict affected event content while a complaint is evaluated. Do not submit false claims.

8. Availability and changes

We may change the service, introduce reasonable limits, maintain systems, or discontinue features. We will give reasonable notice of a material reduction to an active paid service when practical and as required by law. Features under development may change before public release. App availability on a particular device or store is not guaranteed until a working download is offered.

You may stop using JukeGroove at any time. You can delete your account through the account controls. Account deletion closes associated hosted events and removes associated cloud records according to our Privacy Policy; it does not delete recordings stored in the host app or copies you keep elsewhere. Deleting the app alone does not necessarily cancel a separately purchased subscription.

9. Disclaimers and limits

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JukeGroove is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or noninfringement. We do not guarantee music quality, compatibility, audience behavior, exact request timing, availability at a particular event, revenue, or a business result.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JukeGroove and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or lost profits, event revenue, goodwill, or data arising from the service. Where law permits a monetary cap, total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of $100 USD or the fees you paid to JukeGroove for the affected service during the 12 months before the claim arose.

These limits do not exclude or restrict liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted, including any applicable rights relating to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury, or mandatory consumer protections. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so those exclusions apply only to the extent allowed.

10. Your responsibilities for claims

To the extent permitted by law, if you use JukeGroove as a business, you agree to defend and indemnify its operator against third-party claims and reasonable related costs resulting from your unlawful or infringing content, unauthorized public music use, material breach of these terms, or misuse of the service. This obligation does not apply to claims caused by the operator's own unlawful conduct or to rights that cannot be waived. We will notify you of a covered claim and allow reasonable participation in its defense; a settlement may not impose an admission or obligation on the other party without consent.

11. Our name, software, and these terms

JukeGroove's name, artwork, app, website, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Using the service does not transfer ownership to you. Event customization lets you brand your event; it does not grant ownership of the JukeGroove platform or permission to misrepresent who operates it. Third-party open-source components remain subject to their respective licenses.

If we materially change these terms, we will provide notice through the service or another appropriate method and identify the new effective date. Changes apply prospectively except where law allows otherwise. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to the extent permitted. A failure to enforce a provision once is not a waiver of future enforcement. Mandatory laws and the rights of courts and regulators with jurisdiction remain applicable.
